Visiting Tiraumea
Tiraumea nestles in a hidden valley. Its one of those places that you look down on as you fly overhead and wonder what that lovely arm of green is amongst the surrounding dark and brooding tip of the Southern Alps. We want to share the secret with you.
The beautiful Lake Rotoroa is only a 15 minute drive through the most picturesque black Beech Forest. Hunters and trout fishermen travel across the world to fish in the lake and the 30 odd rivers within half an hour of Tiraumea. Stunning accommodation is available at the Lake Rotoroa Guest Lodge. The area is steeped in natural beauty, visitors can enjoy a number of outdoor activities from horse trekking, gold panning, trout fishing, and pig/deer hunting. Our local knowledge is extensive with the Kinzett family name being a part of the areas history for many generations.
We love to meet fellow horse lovers, both International and riding folk from all over the country. We invite you to come and visit Tiraumea Sporthorses, New Zealand’s hidden horse treasure and take a ride with us through the beautiful Tiraumea.
Your horse of a lifetime may just be waiting here to meet you.
